Constanza Piña is a Chilean-born visual artist, dancer, researcher and educator, whose work focuses on experimentation with electronic media, free technologies and DIWO (do-it-with-others) methods. Constanza applies her own nomadic way of life to her way of working, embodying the philosophy of free culture, electronic anarchy and techno-feminism.
On stage, Constanza Piña unites dance, sound performance and participatory works, exploring the sonorous, political and cultural functions of noise. Her work looks at the role of machines in our culture and questions capitalism, techno-hetero-patriarchy and anthropocentrism. Member of various feminist and dissident collectives, she was awarded honorable mention at Ars Electronica 2020 for various pieces of work around the world.
