The work of the artist Mario Santamaría looks for tactics to embody algorithmic and computational processes, which bring him to travel physically to his website, repeating the data’s route; go out in the city to grab some beers as a Google algorithm, or create a tour operator based on the internet infrastructure. Using simple and apparently low-tech resources, his actions speak of a post-internet reality where it is complicated to determine the limits of the body and the digital threads that run through it.
The workshop provides tactics to relate to computational processes, where visualization tools and resources are shared to better understand the environment where these technologies operate and the ways in which we can work with them.
