Based on the research and practice on technology, identity and empathy carried out by the multidisciplinary collective BeAnotherLab, Daniel Gonzalez Franco, digital artist and co-founder of the project, shares a journey through his personal experience working with telepresence, 360º documentary, and body perception applied to conflict resolution, from the beginnings of the collective in 2012 to the challenges and possibilities that the current crisis of COVID19 is posing globally.
BeAnotherLab is the Non profit Cultural Association which created "The Machine to Be Another" an Embodied Virtual Reality system which uses Body Ownership illusions, Performance Art and Virtual Reality for the education and understanding of the relationship between identity and empathy from an embodied perspective.
