To answer this question, we present the work of disciplines such as foresight, design-fiction and speculative design, as well as futures design. It is not a matter of anticipating a specific future of each discipline ("music", "the city"), but of the set of methodologies, techniques and strategies to outline and propose future scenarios that allow us to sketch plans to move forward over uncertainty and doubt.
In this session we count with designers, futurists and “long term” experts like:
Fabien Girardin, researcher, engineer and founding partner of Near Future Laboratory, an innovation and foresight agency that guides organizations to the transformation of digital technologies into innovative cultures, visions and solutions.
Elisabet Roselló, cultural researcher specialized in new forms of work, social and cultural transforming trends, sustainable innovation and futures studies. She is also the founder of the Postfuturear foresight agency.
Scott Smith, founder of Changeist, a futures design and strategy agency collaborating with organizations as diverse as the Red Cross, UNICEF, the BBC and the New York Times. He is the author of "How to Future" which has been published this past September.
