EINA IDEA is a programming and reflection structure promoted by Fundació EINA, Barcelona. It is both a think tank and a critical strategy office about the future of art and design. EINA IDEA generates experimental formats for study and exhibition (cabinets) and dissemination and documentation (propagations). From this line of work come out multiple projects and sinergies, inside and beyond the academic context.
EINA IDEA has developed for Sónar+D and the TMB network (Barcelona Metropolitan Transports), EINA IDEA Metro Mudra, a system of gestures, pictograms, and concepts in motion that displays in diverse points of the Barcelona public transportation network (TMB).
EINA IDEA Metro Mudra is a poetic reflection about the body, social distance, language perception, and motivation; little games to reinvent the neo-normal public space. This intervention – inspired by the Buddhist and Hinduist tradition of ritual gestures and postures, vogue, and martial arts – is created by a team of young designers and teachers from EINA, School of Art and Design.
