The documentary “The Catalan Electronic Music Scene” premieres at Sónar+D
Sónar+D premieres "The Catalan Electronic Music Scene" (2020), a documentary that shows the variety and vitality of the electronic music scene of Catalonia through ten of the most prominent artists and DJs of the moment.
Written and curated by journalist JavierBlanquez, one of the country's leading experts in electronic music and author of the book "Loops: Una historia de la música electrónica" (Loops: A history of Electronic Music), the documentary presents the most recent artistic projects developed in Catalonia by both emerging creators and well-established artists. Artists such as Pedro Pina, Begun, Luna Ki or Rosalía who, despite the huge difference in style, are united in the most important thing: the creative freedom provided by a diverse and dynamic scene.
“The Catalan Electronic Music Scene” is produced by Catalan Arts, the internationalization brand of the Catalan Institute for Cultural Enterprises, with the aim of opening a window to the Catalan music scene and contributing to its international projection.
The documentary is directed by Lluís Huedo and features the artists: Pina, Ylia, C.P.I., JMII, PedroVian, Coyu, Sustainer, beGun, Luna Ki and Rosalía.
