Los Voluble
Today, when audiovisual remixing no longer seems to be a problem for the music industry, one may wonder about the validity and relevance of Jonathan McIntosh's "political remix video". Are the obstacles encountered by Negativland or Coldcut's pirate TV still valid? Can artists access materials and archives for remixing? How to find, reuse and remix live materials? These and other questions will make Los Voluble provide "their source code" and how it works between political remix and Live Cinema.
Los voluble is formed by the brothers
Pedro and
Benito Jiménez, who since 1996 have developed projects of
audiovisual experimentation and
sound activism in a multitude of formats. The most common is to see them working in audiovisual improvisation, political remix video and in collaboration with other artists such as bulos.net, Raúl Cantizano, Niño de Elche or Rocío Márquez. They are part of ZEMOS98 and Cultural Telegram.
