In a not so distant future, we all will live in parallel realities, virtual realities that we will confuse with reality as we currently understand it. This worlds will be created to trap you into an irresistible addiction. This is how the new production of the Turandot opera will be set under the direction of the video creator Franc Aleu, who proposes a modern interpretation of the Puccini classic transferred to the world of virtual reality. This innovative project led by Gran Teatre del Liceu, will also count on LED costumes designed by Chu Uroz and will use cobots on stage. Undoubtedly, this groundbreaking proposal highlights the evolution of the scenic and operatic genre. A challenge at all levels that for the first time, will see the light at Sónar+D.
Participants in the conversation will be Franc Aleu, Chu Uroz and Xavier Sagrera, Liceu’s technical director.
