Spatial audio is a powerful way to fully immerse and engage listeners. The proliferation of new audio codecs and augmented reality-enabled headphones is enabling creatives to explore audio in new ways.
For this workshop, we will explore various tools and formats that help realize creative experiences in this ecosystem, such as Ambisonic decoding and the Mach1 plugin. We will also discuss workflows to integrate spatial audio into game engines with Unity using Resonance Audio.
Finally, we will explore the Traverse platform to make an original, customized spatial audio piece using Bose AR technology.
Please bring a computer that has Unity Version 2018.3 installed. A basic knowledge of Unity, including using the Editor and Basic Scripting is important.
