Adam Smith has worked in film, drama, documentary, music videos and advertising. His filmmaking journey began as a teenager, making visuals for raves and nightclubs in a creative collective, which he co founded, called Vegetable Vision.
His knowledge of electronic music culture led him to work with the Chemical Brothers, with whom he has been collaborating and creating their unique visual universe since the beginning, back in 1994, and for whom he directed the visual concert “Don’t Think”. He has directed several chapters of the “Skins” series, the “Dr. Who” remake and the BBC’s drama “Little Dorrit”, based on a novel by Charles Dickens. He has also directed commercials for Nike and Adidas among many other commissions. He directed his first feature film in 2016, “Trespass Against Us” with Michael Fassbender, Sean Harris and Brendan Gleeson.
