The Rattle is a diverse collective of artists, producers, startups and people in music. The collective share music studios and multi-use workspaces at Tobacco Dock in East London and (soon) in Downtown Los Angeles.
The Rattle was founded as an antidote to the old boys network music industry. The collective work on new music and new ways of doing music business with artists in the driving seat. They create music for games, film and television, perform around the world, and create cutting edge disruptive technology. They channel the DIY spirit of punk, but span all genres of music and art.
Was founded by Jon Eades, former director of Abbey Road Red (the innovation department of the legendary recording studio), Chris Howard (professor and startup consultant at MIT and Harvard), and Bobby Bloomfield. The particularity of this incubator is that it specializes in financing both emerging artists and music-tech startups.
We will have its two of its three co-founders for a session focused on the different sources that artists can use to fund their careen, some of them very new in the musical field.
