“A swarm of corrupted seed” by Federico Russo
The work is based on the idea that humans are continuously shaped by their experiences. The memories of these experiences we can recall are just the surface of a gigantic amount of lost data which left traces inside each one of us, and are the main core of someone’s personality. The installation is developed on three connected hierarchical levels: Prints, audio/visual frame moving around those prints, augmented reality App.The prints, obtained through a mix of pixel sorting and glitch techniques, are still frames from the video and represent all those events we can’t remember. The audio visual frame, the container of those forgotten memories, symbolises the human being in its dynamic and continuously changing essence. The ar app, which extrudes wires from the prints that flow in the installation site , embodies the connections between people that are the way through which the forgotten memories keep on living.
