JBL develops a monthly event series in which rising artists and music producers share their creative process, tips and tricks and industry and career advice with aspiring creators. In July, JBL will bring the event to Sónar+D for a special “In-Conversation” with Oliver Dickinson of Snakehips (who will also be performing at Sónar Festival), to discuss Snakehips’ rise in the music industry, creative process, and advice for aspiring electronic music producers and artists.
Dickinson will talk about the duo's upward trajectory, its creative process and its advice for aspiring producers and new electronic music artists. The format of the talk will be 30 to 40 minutes of conversation between Dickinson and JBL's Head of Artistic Relations, Aasheesh Paliwal, followed by a 10 to 20-minute Q&A session with the audience.
JBL is an American company that manufactures of loudspeakers. There are two independent divisions within the company: JBL Consumer and JBL Professional. The former produces audio equipment for the consumer home market, while the latter produces professional equipment for studios, sound installations, tours, portable sound (production and DJ) and cinema markets. JBL is owned by Harman International Industries, a subsidiary of South Korean company Samsung Electronics, which produces, designs and connects products for the automobile industry, consumers and media companies worldwide.
