Multilayer is an installation that creates a volumetric video through a tridimensional projection. It’s a technique that for the first time, can be experienced with moving image; a dialogue between rhythm and space that draws on a new concept of holographic film.
The Multilayer creators have conceived this installation as a new audiovisual format with its own narrative language, which is from now on called to become a specially useful format for museums and installations.
Multilayer is presented as a 7 minute film, “Welcome” made by Nueveojos and directed by Mariona Omedes and Carles Mora. “Welcome” is a monochromatic film halfway in between semi-abstract graphic animation and fictional narrative, with a background that condemns the current situation of refugees from all over the world.
Nueveojos is an audio-visual studio specialising in multimedia shows, composed by the filmmakers Mariona Omedes, Carles Mora and Karin du Croo, all of them are specialists in art direction and post-production. This studio, founded in Barcelona in 2008, makes commissioned work for museums, theatre, live shows, video mapping, installations and motion graphics.
