This year the Ajuntament de Barcelona will showcase some of their projects based in creativity and technology as tools to get a more open, fair, circular and democratic city, supporting entrepreneurship and the creative industries businesses.
The bad student. Critic pedagogy for artificial intelligence is an artistic research.
A project by Taller Estampa, about artificial vision and image generation through neural networks. If machines learn in a normative context of monitoring and surveillance, it is necessary to claim the bad student: everything that goes outside of the norm. This project was produced during the program by La Capella Barcelona Producció 2017-2018.
Incurables
A three-way collaboration project among the choreographer Pere Faura (La Diurna), the video artist combo Tatiana Hallbach and Soren Christensen (Desilence) and the musician and producer Albert Salinas (Wooky) to create a multidisciplinary show joining dance, motion capture video technology and original electronic music.
The musical soundscape of Sant Andreu.
Project by the Fabra i Coats residents Sara Fontán and Aalbers. Coordinated by BitLab, in this project have collaborated the Music Technology Group (UPF) and Phonos Foundation. The sound map will be available through a website that uses digital cartographic tools to navigate through interactively generated content.
Co-creating the present and future smell of Sónar+D.
Interactive mapping and detection of odours. OdourCollect proposes a journey through Sónar by Day smells and music to challenge our perceptions. A collective intelligence experiment in which the data collected will contribute to enhancing inspiration and creativity — a project by Science for Change for the Barcelona Citizen Science Office.
