The virtual reality studio Futura VR proposes a workshop to get familiar with 360º content creation, tools and techniques.
In the theoretical part there will be a brief review of the history of the VR/360º, an introduction to the cameras and their properties, basic accessories for 360º shooting, accessories for stabilization and binaural sound capture, first standards and tricks of 360º filming, how to choose the best camera, narrative and point of view, and as a step-by-step overview of the whole recording and post-production processes.
In the practical will cover how to manipulate 360º cameras, stitching (editing for VR), parallax corrections, and finally a practical exercise where participants will film an immersive selfie.
Futura VR Studio is an innovation space dedicated to Virtual Reality founded by Adrian Rw and Patricia M. Val. Its objective is to explore new technologies, cinematographic aesthetics and real time interaction. They use virtual reality as a mean to elaborate interactive narratives within the construction of immersive worlds and experiences.
