Gene Kogan's world-famous "Machine Learning for Artists" workshop goes to Sónar+D. A three-hour session that will introduce participants to machine learning for artistic expression. Numerous tools exist for every creative terrain, and this workshop is open to anyone who wants to expand their creative practice: designers, illustrators, musicians, architects, journalists, filmmakers, programmers… they all can refresh their work by injecting a dose of artificial intelligence to it.
This workshop will survey the application of machine learning to new media art. It is a broad overview of emerging techniques for processing multimedia data toward the creation of AI-assisted generative art and interactive installation.
Attendees should bring their laptops to participate in this workshop. Additionally, they can pre-install Processing, Brackets, and Wekinator in their computers.
