Workshops 1 (P4 Level 0)
Nicole L’Huillier has created “The Telemetron,” an instrument conceived to be performed outside of Earth and in zero gravity conditions, which opens new possibilities for performance and aesthetics.
We won’t travel to space, but with Nicole, we will create an instrument to make music outside of earth.
Participants will learn to consider how certain physical conditions affect sound and music performance; they will get notions how to map data to a sound sensor, they will develop a design for the instrument and will decide how it will sound.
Participants will work in groups, and at the end of the workshop, they will perform with the instruments. The documentation obtained on the session will be part of a global project with workshops for different communities.
This workshop is a fantastic opportunity for those who want to initiate themselves in the craft of building instruments, or DIY musicians and creators who want to add a new twist to their devices. No previous knowledge is required to participate.
Only for Delegate Pass holders. You can book your appointment through the Networking App.
