Dr Nelly Ben Hayoun's work is where science meets theatre, politics and design, and has several dimensions and one mission: to wreak havoc. This French designer of experiences and filmmaker is founder and director of the International Space Orchestra, the world's first orchestra composed of scientists and NASA astronauts. She is also founder of the University of the Underground, a fee-free postgraduate programme intended to promote non-conventional working methods and shaken the academic foundations.
She designs experiences for companies like WeTransfer or institutions like the SETI (Search for ExtraTerrestrial Intelligence) project, and is advisor to the UN Virtual Reality Labs, research director at A/D/O –an institute dedicated to explore the future of design– and advisory board member at AIGA (American Institute for Graphic Arts).
