The Sónar+D Innovation Challenge is divided in an online and an onsite phase. During the online phase, from May 14th until June 11th, teams work to plan the best solution for the challenge in collaboration with company mentors, and start building a prototype.
From June 12th till June 15th teams and mentors meet in Barcelona to develop and finalize the prototype and present it to the Sónar+D audience.
Online Phase (may 14th - june 11th). Remote collaboration
During the online phase of the SIC, challengers and mentors collaborate and coordinate remotely in order to prepare for the final phase of the SIC, a 4-day creative sprint within Sónar festival in Barcelona.
Although the online phase has no formal structure, we recommend that each team organizes their efforts around the following milestones:
Frequent communication is key to a smooth collaboration between team members, so we encourage each team to establish a weekly group call in order to monitor progress on the above milestones.
