Michael Hendrix is a Partner and Executive Design Director at global design and innovation consultancy, IDEO, where he has worked on everything from home goods to homeland security. A natural trailblazer and collaborator, he co-founded an art school for high schoolers, a design curriculum for undergrads, two professional design clubs and three small businesses, the last of which was recognized by Business Week and Fortune as a thought leader for sustainable design. Most recently he co-founded Open Music, a non-profit initiative of Berklee College of Music Institute for Creative Entrepreneurship.
Throughout his 20+ year career as an award-winning graphic designer he’s also nurtured his passion for music, producing records for garage bands, designing cassette and CD covers, and recording as dream pop artist, R.M.Hendrix. This Spring he was able to bring his love for music and design together as a co-instructor of the Berklee ICE Startup Lab, a course awaking musicians to their latent entrepreneurial mindsets.
