Erre que Erre dance company celebrates 20 years meeting sound and technology on the stage, with a tribute to dance called ‘Reset’, focused on the idea of renovation. This Barcelona-based company keeps exploring the usage of technology on stage, with a visual and scenic development by creative technologist Román Torre‘s Rotor Studio and music written by electronic trio Sincro. On Thursday 16 and Friday 17, Sincro will play live along the Barcelona duo Nuu, and will interact with the dancers at certain times. In ‘Reset’, music is the driving force that takes dancers to different states and spaces, creating sonic landscapes based on the combination of organic and electronic elements. On the other hand, visual elements get away from the idea of screen, and video is treated in a minimal way, practically as it was light, as a scenographic element that may create or change scenes. At certain moments, dancers make way for a series of visual objects, like a monolith inspired by Kubrick’s 2001 or a rotatory geometric self-lighted stone.
