In late 2013, a team of developers decided to create a mobile application that would bring music to people with hearing impairment. This project is called Ludwig and consists of an app connected to a vibrating device that attaches to the wrist, which allows hearing-impaired people to experience the feeling of listening to music and even play a whole song with a digital piano.
Ludwig is part of Amaphiko, a new platform created to promote projects of social change makers.
The project will be presented by Raphael Silva, Ludwig’s co-founder and computer programmer. Silva, who had previously been dedicated to the design in the automotive industry, discovered in software development a tool to change the world.
