Makeroni, a cultural association based in Zaragoza carries out creative projects on digital fabrication, printing technologies, artificial vision research and interactive system development. These are some of the projects that will be available to see, learn and touch at Sónar+D:
Impresora de Huevos: printer that functions on oval surfaces.
Eye of Horus: open source platform that allows controlling any device just by looking at it. This project won the Kennedy Space Center Space Apps Challenge in 2015 and the UAE AI & Robotics Award in Dubai last December.
SSV: a system that assists visually impaired people through a 3D camera and vibrations.
Touchable: interactive tool that makes tactile any surface without the need to use a screen, just using a multimedia device that eradicates remote controllers and offers a wide range of applications, from domestic use to medical use.
Nevera Mental: a machine that offers a soda can when the user concentrates while wearing a helmet that measures brain waves. A collaboration between Dlabs, the Zaragoza Hackspace and Cooking Hacks.
Robotarium: This aquarium inspired recipient hosts robotic life. In a webcam controlled environment, each robot can be programmed individually, implementing artificial intelligence algorithms that make this robotic system behave in a similar way as a community of ants would.
