MarketLab will host a new challenge for the ‘maker’ community: IMPRIMIDA – Barcelona Art and Design Advanced Manufacturing Camp, an initiative that gathers artists and designers that experiment with advance manufacturing as an expressive language, and wants to explore its possibilities in fields like art, music, design or fashion.
IMPRIMIDA is presented by IN(3D)USTRY From Needs to Solutions, the new professional event in Barcelona for advance manufacturing, developed and conceived by the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IaaC).
Participants will work for 10 days carrying out projects that push the boundaries of artistic production through computational design and additive manufacturing. These projects will be produced at IMPRIMIDA, which will start at Sónar+D MarketLab and will continue until 23 June, when results will be exhibited at IN(3D)USTRY.
IMPRIMIDA is an open call for artists, makers, architects and designers with knowledge of computational design and will last until May 31st. Apply now! (you will get a Sónar+D Delegate Pass when applying)
The Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IaaC) is a research, educational, production and communication centre, and is committed to build now the habitat of the future, pushing the boundaries of architecture and design. IaaC’s Fab Lab Barcelona was the first Fab Lab established in the European Union, in 2007, and became the global headquarters for the Fab Academy programme, in collaboration with the Fab Foundation and the Center for Bits and Atoms at MIT.
