Sónar+D In Hong Kong

For the first time, Sónar+D will take place in Hong Kong on April 1st. On the program: forward-thinking workshops, talks and interactive activities designed to explore the relationship between creativity, technology, innovation and business.
Asia’s first edition of Sónar+D will take place the singular Charles K. Kao Auditorium building at the Hong Kong Science Park.

On the program there will be an expo area that will gather research centers, creative studios and tech companies to preview new projects and prototypes, the last innovations on new media arts and virtual reality through a curated series of interactive installations and high-tech audio-visual performances.

Quite unlike any festival the city has previously seen, Sónar Hong Kong will offer the unique opportunity to experience the entire lifecycle of the creative project in an accessible way. From discovering new products at the prototype stage to attending master classes by artists to enjoying breathtaking live performances, Sónar showcases all the links in the creative chain.

On the program confirmed up to the moment: The Dirty Electronics workshop and audiovisual performance to present their latest collection of art modular synths, Polytik. The new media arts collective from Hong Kong Xceed will use data collected from radiation to power their work Aura IV, its founder Chris Cheung will give also a lecture. Additionally, Media Artist Daito Manabe will perform his innovative collaboration along the music producer Nosaj Thing.
