We close our 5th edition with more than 5500 delegates from 57 countries and more than 1000 people have participated at the workshops and networking sessions, doubling up last year’s numbers; and the 30 lectures and panels programmed were up to the 80 and 100% capacity.
The education-oriented music software Mimi Hearing Technologies (Germany), Protopixel’s IoT applied to light design projects (Barcelona) and Melodics technology to enhance hearing and protect the ears (New Zealand) are the startups that have won the Startup Garden powered by MIGRATION associated competition.
The activity at the Sónar Innovation Challenge, Sónar+D’s hacklab, has been unstoppable during the three days and the participant teams prototyped projects that applied AI to djing, music instruments to make the most of the free music online repositories, such as Freesound, or making context aware playlists (for at home, in the car, at work listening…).
500 hundred early bird delegate passes for Sónar+D 2018, will be on sale from today June 28th. The dates for next year are 13,14,15,16 June.
We’d like to thank all participants (speakers, marketlabs, companies, education centers and attendants) for helping us make this edition, we hope that you have enjoyed as much as we have.
We are looking forward to see you next year.
