The leading Spanish online platform for film and television series, Filmin, links up with Sónar+D to add exclusive premieres, keynotes and workshops with renowned figures in the industry to the congress line-up.
After a five-year history, the Atlántida Film Fest (named Spain’s best film festival by the Ministry of Culture for 2014) shifts its dates to 8 June to 8 July. Once again this year, the event presents an exquisite line-up of films which for various reasons have not been distributed in Spain, and which include works by emerging directors and consolidated directors who have decided to take a risk and not plough the same furrow. Sónar+D professional accreditation holders will be able to enjoy the excellent selection free of charge.
This year, the Atlántida Film Fest wants to go one step further, redefining its competitive section and organizing professional seminars with artists who are innovating in various areas of the audiovisual process. Among the first confirmed names for these seminars are Jim Kolman, film programmer at the renowned event South by Southwest (SXSW) and head of selection of documentaries, international films and the Digital Domain section for transmedia projects; and the Australian director Anna Broinowski, who will be giving a workshop on the techniques of persuasion used by filmmakers in North Korea based on the manifesto of Kim Jong Il.
