At Sónar+D we believe that artists should be at the forefront of innovation; taking an active role in addressing the challenges faced by society. Responding to this in a practical manner is the new initiative by the Cultural Institute of Barcelona (ICUB) and Sónar+D; ‘Repte Canòdrom’.
Until the 31st of October, creatives across the spectrum (from programmers to activists), are invited to submit their proposals to take over one of the spaces in Barcelona’s Canodromo – a recently refurbished dog racing track that will become a hub for innovations in citizen activism, the collaborative economy and open data. The successful projects will be presented at next June’s Sónar+D.
