Domestic Data Streamers join the data analysis team at Spotify –Matt Ogle and Ajay Kalia, in charge of Discover Weekly and Taste Profiles– to test the predictive algorithms of this streaming platform in the installation called The Time Keeper.

We know a song can be connected to a memory forever after a certain experience, but what if it was the other way round, connecting a future moment with a song we still not know? To carry out this piece and find an answer to this question, listening habits of the visitors will be analysed through their Spotify profiles. Then, data will be contrasted with their behaviour profile after conducting a survey. Finally, visitors will be asked to make a wish that will be associated with a song. Domestic Data Streamers will search songs that spark the personal desire of users, displaying visualizations of their behaviour patterns, and thus finally creating a collective playlist with the songs for every wish.

Domestic Data Streamers want to figure out if the way we listen to the music is the way we want to live our lives, and explore the connections between our musical and vital behaviours.
