The renowned director Chris Milk and the data artist Aaron Koblin will be presenting their latest project Vrse at Sónar+D – a studio for producing experiences for new Virtual Reality platforms such as Oculus Rift and Samsung Gear, and with those which have already made videos for Bjork, the United Nations and the New York Times.

The creative combination of Milk and Koblin has been responsible for some of the most powerful interactive experiences on the Internet in recent years: from the multi award-winning “The Wilderness Downtown” for Arcade Fire, which used Google Street View technology in a surprising way to interweave personal stories, to “The Johnny Cash Project,” an crowdsourcing experiment to which thousands of people contributed to illustrate a track by the country legend.

Chris Milk is one of the most renowned video producers in recent years – a reputation that he has earned after producing work for U2, Kanye West and Chemical Brothers.

Aaron Koblin, the founder of Google Data Arts Team, is undoubtedly the digital artist who is best known internationally because of his use of large data sets in his work.
