The Creatifi platform presents the projects that have been developed in recent months with the support of Barcelona Laboratori Cultural at MarketLab.
An ecosystem of platforms that provides a set of collaborative tools to mix and edit high quality video online in real time. These tools have been successfully used in the Cultural Ring of Catalonia, and one of their possible applications is high quality real time mixing video sources located in different places over the Internet. SPECIFI is made up of four interlinked open source software modules: an audio and video stream mixer, a videoconference system, a cloud service to transcode video, and a software to stream low latency video. An augmented audio reality system that enables sound designers to place sounds on a virtual map, and users to experience the created soundscape in real time with their GPS equipped smartphone.
The soundscape changes constantly depending on where the user’s devices. Once the user is at a particular location, various sound parameters can be adjusted, such as the volume, the number of repetitions or the tempo. Regardless of the point in time at which the user enters the location, the sounds will play back synchronically. HEARHEAR.ME is a project by Stefan Kernsten of SampleCount. A crowdticketing service created in collaboration with Ymagis and their Arqiva service to distribute live concerts to cinemas, with the idea of bringing the collective experience back to cinema. SCREENLY connects films with audiences and provides tools for self-distribution of films in cinemas. SCREENLY is a project by Marc Prades and Alberto Tognazzi Drake. An interface for a dual screen installation, used to access and mix public library digital collections. The collections being used in this case are a collection of digitalized posters from the Spanish Civil War, belonging to the Arxiu General de Catalunya, and a collection of field recordings made by Dan Norton. The system generates visualizations, and the images and sounds are mixed together. Users contribute to the digital collections by adding personal memories and observations. The comments and recollections appear as flowers growing in a “memory field”. A project by Dan Norton, Onur Ferhat and Fernando Vilariño of the Computer Vision Center. Kalliópê is a set of software tools to enable ways of live communication and interaction with big audience and spaces. It also represents a new paradigm of real-time communication with the audience, providing advanced tools for interaction and data gathering. The aim of Kalliópê is to create new narrative possibilities in creative events and artistic performances. Kalliópê is a project by Pep Gatell and Pelayo Méndez. LABS4GLASS: Virtual and Interactive Creation Tools, VR and motion capture technology
Labs4Glass, the company specialized in smart glasses, wearables, interaction and location, will present an introductory talk and a workshop where participants will make three projects based on interactive virtual reality, motion tracking to play virtual instruments, and finally motion capture applied to electronic music. City Soundtrack is a mobile application that allows users to navigate through musical and sonic content using their mobile device geolocation, providing the user with a unique and personal musical route, that changes real-time depending on their movement.
City Soundtrack wants to develop a tool to access the Freesound data base to generate soundscapes and localize them in a map through GPS, that they will be able to access via web and mobile terminal. Presentation: Thrusday 18:00 – 18:30
Pick Your Twelve is an open and transparent platform for vinyl record pressing and distribution in Spain and Europe. Pick Your Twelve gives crowdfunding tools for DIY (Do It Your Twelve) record publishing. Music companies experience significant costs and problems using current digital distribution and promotion platforms.
As a legacy from the old music industry they face contractual barriers, technical problems, complex business processes and use expensive, centralised distribution services.

Live Cities is born out of the idea of implanting a managing model for open innovation in the City of Barcelona. Through a web platform, citizens will be able to suggest, collaborate and participate together with public institutions, educational centers and companies to find innovative answers to the challenges that may arise.
Live Cities is based upon their previous experience with the Bandeed platform. The same way that fans, artists, venues and promoters can collaborate to organize concerts, the platform allows citizens, institutions, educational centers and companies to collaborate to accomplish the challenges of the XXI century. “Escola de Rock” (Rock School) is a project by the San Pedro School, that wants to bring music to the classroom with the goal to learn mutually, awaken the student’s motivation , work different subjects through music, reflect and foster cultural exchange. Bands of different genres such as Za!, La Pegatina, Joan Colomo and Santa Rita have participated in the two editions of “Escola de Rock”. Now the goal of this project is to bring “Escola de Rock” to more schools and involve more bands and record labels. Presentation: Friday 16:00 – 16:30
The technology multinational EPSON and the technology centre i2CAT are working together to promote innovation in the field of smart glasses by creating the Moverio Competence Center, which aims to encourage development and innovation applied to smart glasses to increase the use of augmented reality in the professional sphere. Catalonia will thereby be consolidated as a European centre of excellence, and a strategic meeting point for developers, customers and suppliers of applications for smart glasses. Mr Banks, The Stock Market Game. OpenSystems UB and Alephsys URV
Presentation of the online version of the collective experiment “Mr. Banks, the Stock Market Game”. The aim of this experiment is gathering new data to know and explain human behaviour, in particular, decision making mechanisms in an environment of uncertainty or excess of information.
